Weekend WIPs

A baby apron ala Cheeky Mama at I Have To Say…  Thanks for the inspiration, Randi.  I made it for a friend’s daughter who just turned 2 last month.  She has been really into fake food (the babe, not my friend) and playing in her new kiddie kitchen so I thought an apron would be a great belated birthday gift.  I used some thrifted fabric and made a quilted apron instead of using a dishtowel.

I am participating in the International Tote Exchange III and I have already purchased my project ingredients and my pattern is in the mail.  Here are the fabrics and yarn I chose, they are for two different parts of the project.

Made some homemade lumpia for a Super Bowl party…

  1. I love the apron!

Many years ago I went to Hawaii and I stayed with my aunt and uncle. My aunt made Lumpia for dinner and I LOVED IT! Recently, I asked her for the recipe and I make it for my own family now. SO far, I have never come across any one else who makes it! Glad to know a fellow-lumpia maker! 😉
