Not much happening around these parts lately other than weekends packed with BBQs. The temperatures have been well over 100 degrees so the only thing people want to do is jump in the pool and sit in the shade. Two weeks ago we co-hosted a shrimp boil with some friends.
Our friends Joey and Rena cooked up 5 kilos of jumbo shrimp, complete with corn and potatoes. It was so yummy and it sure beat turning on the oven.
After dinner there were countless dives into the pool, so many that we had to refill the pool a few inches the next day. Notice Kane climbing onto the shed so he’d have a better stance to dive from.
After some card games…
There was one more late night dip in the pool.
On another note, Joe left for Germany today for 6 weeks. I’m a little lonely today but had a going away dinner tonight to keep me occupied. I’m heading to the States in less than 2 weeks and I’m super excited to see friends and family I haven’t seen since before moving to Korea. I’ll be in State College from between Aug. 15th – Sept. 2nd and NY from Sept. 2nd to Sept. 8th. If you’ll be around either places during those dates let me know, I’d love to meet up with everyone while I’m home.
Ack! You are back in the states. I hope it is working well for you and you are feeling good. I wish I could meet you when you were here.
