Last weekend a few couples from Moron joined up with some other couples from Rota Naval Station for a marriage retreat at the beautiful Barcelo Resort on the Costa Ballena in Cadiz Province.

The hotel was beautiful but it was, unfortunately, cloudy and rainy Friday and Saturday.

The views from the hotel were fabulous and I know Joe was itching to golf, despite the yucky weather.

The retreat was a nice chance to get away and spend some quality time together without the distractions of work.  It was nice for Joe and I to have some time to decompress after losing the baby last week.  We learned a lot and had plenty of time to relax and talk.

Luckily it cleared up nicely on Sunday and we were able to go take a walk on the beach.

The weekend also gave us the opportunity to get to know our new friends better.  We are so thankful to have met Kane and Celina and Lisa & Brady.  They have made our transition to Spain very easy.  We are looking forward to doing more fun things with them over the next few years.

We also hope to get back to the Barcelo later in the summer so the guys can play at the beautiful golf course and we can have a day at the beach.
