This was Tripp’s first Christmas and we had a lot of fun this year. On Christmas Eve we headed to midnight mass at the beautiful Seville Cathedral with a group from base.
Although the entire mass was in Latin and Spanish it was a beautiful tradition to witness. Tripp was great, he slept the entire night, including the rides to and from Seville. We didn’t get home until 2 AM and then he slept the night away. He’s such a good baby.
On Christmas Day we woke up late and opened presents, most of which were for Tripp of course.
He was spoiled rotten by his grandparents and aunts and uncles.
He got this cute stuffed cow from his Uncle Alex (my brother) to remind him of his mother’s roots in Central PA. He was mesmerized by the black and white spots.
Grandma and Grandpa Taylor sent toys, an adorable frog bath towel set and this adorable Grasshopper lovey that says, “Tripp – Knee high to a grasshopper.” He loves it!
Uncle Steve and Aunt Vicki sent this adorable Miami Dolphins outfit for next season. Tripp will be all ready for Game Day with Daddy now.
Grandpa Neil and Mimi left Tripp a generous gift to get some new baby items. He even got gifts from our nice little Spanish neighbor and our landlord’s family. Thanks everyone!
After gifts we got ready for Christmas brunch at our friend’s house down the street. Tripp was so good, posing with his little girlfriend, Adriana.
Adriana is the 3 month-old daughter of our close friends here. They were so cute together, and Adriana kept trying to lick Tripp’s head. I wasn’t feeling that well so we didn’t stay late but it was so nice to celebrate Christmas with our friends here, who truly are our family away from home. It was a wonderful holiday and Joe and I were so excited to have gotten the best Christmas present of all – the arrival of our new little baby! What more could we have asked for? We hope you all had an equally wonderful holiday this year.
super cute! hope you three had a wonderful christmas and are doing well, congrats again!
