Sunday Links

Love this post about being a Stay-At-Home Mom.  Living overseas affords us the opportunity for me to stay home and I don’t come in contact with too many people that look down upon my “profession” but I do occasionally feel like I have to defend myself as I have had a job outside the home since I was 15 years old.

Yummy Baked Pumpkin Oatmeal – I’ve never baked my oatmeal but I may have to try this.

I’m always looking for a better Blueberry Muffin Recipe, I’ll try this one next.

And if that one isn’t good enough, I’ll try this one.

Thanks to Happy Together’s great tutorial, I’ve been making rolled rosettes by the boatload.  I already made a wreath for the house with some red and green scraps.

I’m attending a cookie swap in a few weeks and found these great cookie swap recipes in case I run out of ideas.

This week  finalized my Thanksgiving menu.  We’re having Thanksgiving with good friends here so all the ladies are splitting the menu responsibility.  Here are my contributions:

Chocolate Fudge Pecan Pie
– mine will be in an Oreo crust (to save time and maximize yumminess.  I may even enter one of these in the Pie Contest at our Thanksgiving luncheon on Wed.

I’m not a fan of the canned, mushy green bean casseroles so I will be making Sauteed Green Beans with Bacon Balsamic Vinaigrette.  I make a difference version of this every year and this one looked good.

Pumpkin Pie Martinis – Um, YES!

Pumpkin Pie Cinnamon Buns – Um, YES YES YES!

These Pumpkin Pie Milkshakes aren’t necessarily on the Thanksgiving menu but I may make them for the fam this week for fun.
